who we are

Vuda Marina is a family owned and operated marina in the middle of the Pacific. We are staffed by a dedicated team of over 90 individuals who are committed to ensuring that every visitor enjoys a fantastic experience. Adam and Lisa are the husband-and-wife team who help run the show. Adam has a hospitality background. Lisa comes from a design and architecture background. Both are keen sailors and ocean lovers.

Yet the true champions of Vuda Marina are its staff members. With many of them having been with us for over 15 years, they genuinely enjoy engaging in conversations with visitors, sharing stories about Fiji, and eagerly listening to tales of adventures from around the world.

Vuda Marina is part of the larger Tradewinds Marine group, which has a rich family history. Lisa's dad, Tony Philp established and runs the multi-faceted Tradewinds Marine Group. Our sister marina is The Coprashed Marina in Savusavu and we also have a satellite marina named The Royal Exploring Isles Yacht Club on Vanuabalavu, Lau. Additionally, Tradewinds Marine owns and operates The Yacht Shop chandleries throughout Fiji and is renowned for the production of Islander Fibreglass Boats.

where it all began

Vuda Marina was conceptualised by 5 friends who all decided that a full-service commercial marina was needed in the West of Fiji. In the early 1990’s, the only option for yachts was the moorings at Musket Cove and the commercial port of Lautoka. Haulout options were limited and so it was decided that they would invest in a site and a travelift. Once they found their site they began construction of the facility. A facility that was specifically designed to withstand the effects of cyclones. In May 1996, the marina welcomed its first boats and has been in operation ever since. It is now the longest running full service marina in the West of Fiji.

Originally the marina opened with 78 inwater berths and 30 hardstand spaces. This was serviced by a single 20 Tonne Tami-Lift. Over the years the marina has continued to grow adding accommodation, shops, restaurant, bar and upon completion will have 180 inwater berths and over 150 hardstand spaces. It is now serviced by a 63 Tonne Wise Travel Hoist and a 40 Tonne Roodberg Multihull Trailer.
